Why can't I find my log file? (SQA000077)
Answer:
When testing installations with InstallPump, the InstallPump log file can be a usefull tool (default: C:\SQ_log.txt). By default, the log file does not get saved, until InstallPump exits. This saves time on the gereral installation. While testing, InstallPump might not exit cleanly. If InstallPump does not exit cleanly, then the log file may not be saved. There is a different way to use InstallPump logging. You can run the InstallPump package using a command:
ex. C:\Dist\setup.exe log=1
This method will not work when using the self extracting executable.
